The Forums have Relaunched!

Rejoice fans!

The TDGMods forums have finally hit a redesign, a good one at that. The thing has been around since before 2005 and it needed an overhaul. So we (almost) started fresh, and it's now open!

The forums will be the new place to discuss Hypertension, and will be aimed towards new Blood fans. I will remove the commenting system from this blog and in it's place will be a mirrored post in the forums where you can all participate. It'll be an easier way to keep all of the subsites organized.

So whether you want to discuss Hypertension, poke at us for a beta release, or talk about how annoying the mimes are in BLOOD, it's all there.

Please enjoy the new, redesigned forums! See you all there!

Hey everyone!

The music player was reorganized just now, so the tracks will make more sense if listened to one after another. I also uploaded a special track...some mad scientist by the name of Herbert West...his theme is as haunting as ever. Credits to Richard Band for the track. Sounds familiar? A modded version of Re-Animator itself. =)

More updates coming soon!

Another welcome

I would like to take time really quick to welcome Isaac Kesington to TDGMods. He's going to be the musician contributing tracks and the one to develop the underscore for Hypertension. An example of what to expect (a preview track) is in the media player, so scroll down and check it out! It's going to most likely play during the opening credits of the game.

Progress is going great as usual, thanks for the support again guys. We have more content coming as we grind down, also a cool contest to participate in!

Everything that happens, happens for a reason...

So we've been quiet again, work has been taking priority.

If you're in the listening mood there are 3 new tracks uploaded to our music player, you guys should get a kick out of them. Good material there, some very atmospheric tracks.

Just be prepared, we're getting something special ready for all of you soon!

Back to school...

It's that time again. Classes, homework, and no time for gaming. Here's a shot of a level in progress located at an infamous medical school.

Splats?

Quick update - Hypertension now supports a decal system that was written by us. The graphics used are seriously placeholder, but you get the idea. Before, our gore engine (and neither EDGE) did not support decals or anything of the sort. Now, we can do blood, bullet holes, explosion marks, all sorts of stuff not previously possible. And yeah - before you say that the blood sucks - they are placeholder graphics, just to demonstrate what we've been able to pull off.

Hmm, so is that fireball that should be puke...at least the green hue is right ^^

Lack of blog updates

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates to the blog, but we've been rather busy grinding down on the game. It seems we're all trying to get something playable soon, and it's showing. The game is shaping up nicely, but still not where it needs to be after a year of work. Granted, most of that was just me on my own but I hoped it would've been a little farther along, but I'm not complaining.

Next up is hand-picking and coding in Blood's 3K-something sprite stuff, that's going to take awhile. So while there are a lack of updates, don't think the project has died. It's a lot of work going into it and we're hoping it turns out for the best.

In the meantime, why don't you guys join our forums?
