An Introspection..

I removed the previous post on grounds that I realize now it was a bit too personal for me to be talking about...but it was just a post of self-reflection, and now I'm ready to move forward again. =)

One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.

Respect to you for being honest, although i feel i should raise points, to clarify if you will.

I think your intentions are quite mixed, and granted any designer or creator from the beginning are never completely aware of what they're creating at first, or what position it creates for the future, but the development stages of this game seem to stroll to far from its base, and from your original intention, a modification for Blood. I realise i have given criticism on a degree that can be classed shameful, but to be proven this from people in favour for this project is also hypocritical in ways, because the fact remains that a lot of us have been childish in tackling this, numerous facts and arguments get resurrected, creating a never ending circle. There's one thing that seems evident, the prime idea, the distance it has travelled is now too far from view. At first i understood what you were creating straight from the beginning, you were praising Blood in ways even the Postmortem supported, but if you do re-read the locked thread, there's translation problems that can be witnessed and realised which caused the downfall of their participation/praise, the project (in my view) grew apart from Blood, something which is now surviving off of it's essence, rather than complimenting it. In my opinion, your creation now would succeed on new boundaries being a standalone away from any other game, something which is completely original to your work, this way the freedom and flexibility is endless, and you wouldn't have to put up with endless criticism. There is a chance to redeem your friendship with the Postmortem, but there needs to be linked communication, because the most important part of a developing project is the respect of the target audience, and the will to listen and work on given opinions, otherwise the downfall you're trying to avoid will keep creeping up on you Clari.

Disregard this if you will, but i'm speaking with honesty. I'm not here to moan, or whine, that was in the past and i've looked beyond that. The best thing i feel that can be done at this stage is a revision of your development, a look at the direction, and whether you feel it's going down the correct path, and to find where it really went wrong with the Postmortem.

This is on your judgement and decision, you're in control of this projects purpose and development, it's up to you to do what you feel is right.
